Frederic Chopin (1810 - 1849) was a Polish composer , a pianist, and a music teacher. He is considered one of the greatest masters of Romantic music and deserved to be called "the poet of the piano".
Chopin was born in Zelazowa Wola, Warsaw. Where he grew up and completed his musical education. In November 1830, following the Russian suppression of the Polish uprising, he settled in Paris, where he teached music and gave few public performances.
Chopin's majority of work are for solo piano. He invented the musical form known as the instrumental ballade and also made major innovations to the piano concerto, sonata, mazurka, etude, prelude, waltz, impromptu, scherzo, and rondo.
